What the Teaser Reveals

Main Vaapas Aaunga is an innocent and heartwarming story about an aged man who craves for the childhood romance he had to bid adieu because of the India-Pakistan partition.

The 1-minute 13-second teaser opens with Diljit narrating the romantic story that continued to haunt a 78-year-old grandfather. Flashback to the time when the love of a beautiful woman and a handsome young man, from different religions, was in full bloom — lovers who expressed their admiration with cute little gestures, unaware that a political decision would shatter the future of their tale.

As the elderly man puts pen to paper to scribble his tragic tale, Diljit draws everyone’s attention to the soulful story — and the grandfather gets to relive memories of his first love again, from a hospital bed. Movie Insider

It’s quietly devastating — and this is just the teaser.

Why This Film Feels Unmissable

The film’s makers describe it beautifully: “In Imtiaz Ali’s world, love is never just a feeling. It is a journey that lingers in stolen glances, unfinished conversations, and memories that refuse to fade away.”

Diljit Dosanjh — fresh off his blockbuster Dhurandhar era — brings his signature warmth and raw authenticity to the lead. Sharvari and Vedang Raina, two of Bollywood’s most exciting young stars, anchor the younger timeline. And with Naseeruddin Shah adding gravitas and AR Rahman scoring the soul of the film, this is a creative assembly that demands attention.
