Assassin’s Creed Netflix Series: Cast, Plot, Release Date & Everything You Need to Know (2026)

The hidden blade is finally making its way to your screen — and honestly, the wait feels worth it. Netflix’s live-action Assassin’s Creed series has moved from “rumoured” to “cameras are rolling,” and fans of the iconic Ubisoft franchise couldn’t be more pumped.

Here’s a full breakdown of everything confirmed so far.

Assassin’s Creed Netflix Overview

What’s the Story About?

Forget the Renaissance — this series dives into Nero’s Rome. Set between 54–68 AD, the plot follows a new assassin uncovering a conspiracy that runs from the imperial court straight into Rome’s criminal underbelly. Seneca the Younger and Emperor Nero are central figures, making this a politically charged thriller steeped in history.

Fans of the Assassin’s Creed franchise will recognise the eternal war between the Assassin Brotherhood and the Templar Order — that shadow conflict is very much alive here, just transplanted to ancient streets.

Importantly, no existing game characters will appear. This is a fresh story.
