Rihanna Safe After Brazen Daylight Shooting at Beverly Hills Home — Suspect Arrested, AR-15-Style Rifle Recovered

In a terrifying incident that shocked the world on March 8, 2026, pop superstar Rihanna’s Beverly Hills mansion was targeted in a brazen midday shooting. The singer was home at the time. A suspect is now in custody. Here’s everything confirmed so far.

Rihanna’s Incident At a Glance

What Happened — A Minute-by-Minute Account

Shortly after 1:15 PM on Sunday, a 30-year-old woman pulled up to the gated property on Heather Road in Beverly Crest — one of Los Angeles’ most exclusive and secluded neighbourhoods — in a white Tesla. She then fired between 7 and 10 rounds from an AR-15-style rifle directly at the mansion from across the street before speeding away.

At least four rounds struck the house, and the front gate appeared riddled with bullet holes. LAPD officers responded within minutes, but the suspect had already fled. Her white Tesla was later located approximately eight miles away at the Sherman Oaks Galleria, where she was taken into custody without further incident.

LAPD confirmed that people were inside the home at the time of the shooting, though no injuries were reported. The LAPD’s elite Robbery-Homicide Division has been assigned to investigate, and the motive remains under active investigation.

Rihanna Was Home — Family Is Safe

Sources told ABC News that Rihanna was at home at the time, but nobody was hurt. Family sources confirmed that Rihanna, her partner rapper A$AP Rocky, and their three children — RZA (3), Riot Rose (2), and 5-month-old Rocki Irish Mayers — are all safe. A neighbour living nearby told NBC4 she was startled by the loud sounds of gunfire: “We don’t hear this kind of thing in this neighbourhood. It’s pretty quiet.”

A History of Security Incidents

This is not the first time Rihanna has faced threats at her home. In 2018, a man climbed over the fence of her Hollywood Hills property and remained inside for around 12 hours before being discovered by a staff member. The intruder later received a 10-year restraining order after pleading no contest to stalking charges.

Sunday’s shooting, however, marks a significant escalation — targeting her current family home in broad daylight with a high-powered firearm. The speed of LAPD’s response and the subsequent arrest likely prevented a far more devastating outcome.
