Why the Name Change?
SAG-AFTRA — the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists — officially retired the “SAG Awards” name in favour of Actor Awards, inspired by its iconic bronze statuette. The union says the rebrand offers “clearer recognition” for the public while keeping the spirit of the ceremony fully intact.

One Battle After Another dominates the film categories with 7 nominations, including Best Cast in a Motion Picture, and individual nods for Leonardo DiCaprio, Teyana Taylor, Benicio del Toro, and Sean Penn.
