The Stories Everyone’s Talking About

🎬 Thai Street Food Hits HBO Max Climate Cats Studios’ six-part vegan docuseries Thai Street Food: Best Kept Secrets is now streaming in East and Southeast Asia on HBO Max, with a global rollout coming soon. The founders also launched a non-profit — Who Let the Docs Out — offering up to $15,000 in grants for food system documentary films. It’s a major moment for plant-based storytelling going mainstream.

🧀 France Gets Its First Vegan Raclette Paris-based plant-based meat pioneer La Vie has teamed up with cheese giant RichesMonts on a limited-edition vegan raclette and sliced sausage promotion exclusively at Carrefour hypermarkets in France. This is exactly the kind of mainstream retail collaboration the plant-based sector has been pushing for — and it’s finally here.

🦈 Mister Veg on Shark Tank India Indian plant-based meat startup Mister Veg made headlines by pitching on Shark Tank India Season 4. The judges were clearly impressed by the product, but no deal was struck — a bittersweet moment that nonetheless puts India’s alternative protein scene firmly in the national spotlight.

💰 HUL Goes All-In on OZiva Hindustan Unilever acquired the remaining 49% stake in Zywie Ventures (makers of plant-forward nutrition brand OZiva) for ₹824 crores. This is one of the largest plant-based nutrition deals in Indian corporate history — and signals how seriously India’s biggest FMCG giant is betting on the health food revolution.
