If AMD does reach $600, it would likely require sustained dominance in AI data centre chips — a market where its MI300X and upcoming Instinct series are already gaining serious traction against Nvidia‘s H100 and H200. Analysts note that at 30x earnings, AMD would be priced at $600 per share, implying significant earnings growth over the five-year period.

The award also requires Su to remain in a full-time leadership role throughout the performance period — making it a retention mechanism as much as an incentive.
