Akshay Kumar Reveals His Biggest Mistake to Shark Tank’s Aman Gupta: When a Slap Led to Career Crisis

Akshay Kumar opened up about his most embarrassing moment on the latest episode of Wheel of Fortune, leaving Shark Tank India judge Aman Gupta and viewers stunned. During the ‘Shark Tank India Special’ episode featuring Sharks Aman Gupta, Anupam Mittal, and Namita Thapar, the Bollywood superstar recalled an incident from years ago that he describes as his “Gajab Beizzati Moment” (ultimate embarrassment).

Akshay Kumar’s Shocking Revelation

The Shocking Slap Incident

During the rapid-fire segment, Aman Gupta asked the million-dollar question: “What has been your most ‘Gajab Beizzati’ moment?” Akshay’s response revealed a side of him that fans rarely see—vulnerable and regretful.

The action star recalled attending a large event with one of his closest friends when an argument erupted. Someone began verbally abusing his friend repeatedly, and despite Akshay’s multiple warnings, the person wouldn’t stop. “He abused once, and I told him not to. He did it again. Then a third time. I kept warning him four or five times, but he just wouldn’t stop,” Akshay remembered with visible regret.

When Protection Turned to Disaster

Unable to tolerate the continued insults directed at his friend, Akshay intervened physically, slapping the person in the heat of the moment. What happened next shocked everyone—the person went unconscious from the impact. “It was a very big party. My friend had actually started crying because it was extremely embarrassing for him,” the superstar revealed, showcasing the human side of Bollywood’s biggest action hero.

The incident highlights how even well-intentioned actions can spiral into uncomfortable situations, especially for public figures who are constantly under scrutiny. Akshay’s martial arts background and action hero status made the situation even more precarious, as his strength could have been perceived as excessive force.

The Shark Tank Connection

The special crossover episode brought together two of India’s most popular reality shows—Wheel of Fortune and Shark Tank India. The chemistry between Akshay and the Sharks, particularly Aman Gupta, created entertaining television as business acumen met Bollywood charm.

Aman Gupta, the boAt co-founder who has become a household name through Shark Tank India, has his own reputation for being brutally honest. His question to Akshay about embarrassing moments opened a window into the actor’s personal struggles with fame and the consequences of split-second decisions.

Lessons from a Superstar’s Mistake

Akshay Kumar’s candid confession serves as a reminder that celebrities face the same moral dilemmas as everyone else, perhaps with higher stakes. The incident from years ago continues to haunt him, demonstrating genuine remorse for an action taken in anger, even if the intention was to protect a friend.

The Khiladi actor’s willingness to share this vulnerable moment on national television shows maturity and self-awareness. Rather than hiding behind his superstar image, he owned up to a mistake that could have had serious repercussions for his career and personal life.

Impact on Public Perception

For someone known for performing death-defying stunts and playing larger-than-life heroes, admitting such a personal failure humanizes Akshay Kumar. Fans and critics alike have praised his honesty, viewing the revelation as a sign of growth and accountability—qualities often missing in celebrity culture.

The episode, which aired in February 2026, has sparked conversations about anger management, celebrity responsibility, and the fine line between defending loved ones and crossing boundaries. Akshay’s story serves as a cautionary tale about the lasting impact of momentary lapses in judgment.
