Malayalam cinema has always had a knack for experimenting with genres nobody else dares to touch. Chatha Pacha OTT Release — Everything You Need to Know

🏟️ What’s the Chatha Pacha Film About?

Set in the colourful lanes of Fort Kochi, Chatha Pacha follows a ragtag group of misfits who come together to build a professional wrestling entertainment franchise. Think chaotic team dynamics, personal grudges spilling into the ring, local goons adding fuel to the fire, and dramatic showdowns that blur the line between performance and reality.

It’s part underdog story, part comedy of errors — and entirely something Malayalam cinema has never tried before. The film is touted as the industry’s first-ever WWE-inspired venture, which alone makes it a landmark watch.

🎥 Cast & Crew Highlights

The film boasts a strong ensemble that includes Roshan Mathew, Arjun Ashokan, Vishak Nair, Ishan Shoukath, Siddique, Lakshmi Menon, and several others. Mammootty’s cameo as the flamboyant “Bullet” Walter Lobo is a talking point, though it received mixed reactions from critics.

Behind the camera, debutant director Adhvaith Nayar — nephew of superstar Mohanlal — takes the helm. The music is handled by the legendary trio Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy, with background score by Mujeeb Majeed. Cinematography is by Anend C. Chandran, and editing by Praveen Prabhakar.

The film released to mixed-to-positive reviews, with praise for its novelty and energy, while the story and pacing drew some criticism.
