What Is Racharikam About?

Set in the Rachakonda region during the politically charged 1980s, Racharikam tells the story of siblings Bhargavi Reddy and Vivek Reddy, both burning with ambition to climb the political ladder. Things get complicated when Bhargavi falls for Shiva — a passionate youth leader of the Mana Sakthi Party who follows RSF leader Kranthi. Her father, the powerful Raja Reddy, doesn’t approve, and from there, the film unravels into a layered tale of political rivalry, violent conflict, and relentless ambition.

While the film received mixed reviews at the box office, Apsara Rani’s performance as Bhargavi Reddy earned considerable appreciation from audiences and critics alike. Her portrayal of a woman caught between love and power is one of the film’s strongest elements.
