Fortnite x South Park: Skins, Quints Mode, and Free Rewards

Fortnite’s South Park collaboration launches Friday with game-changing features beyond typical cosmetic crossovers. This massive event introduces Quints (five-player squads), transforms Wonkeeland into Cartmanland, and offers free cosmetics through the Born in Chaos event pass.

Fortnite x South Park: New Quints Game Mode

The biggest addition is Quints mode—Fortnite‘s first new Battle Royale squad size in five years. This five-player format works in both Build and Zero Build modes, fundamentally changing team composition strategies and endgame dynamics.

Epic Games previously tested six-player Blitz Royale earlier this year but removed it after weeks, leaving Quints’ longevity uncertain. However, the mode’s integration with South Park’s themed content suggests potential permanence.

Born in Chaos Event Pass: Free Cosmetics

For the first time in nearly two years, Fortnite releases a completely free event mini-pass with 13 tiers of South Park-themed rewards. Unlike battle passes, this requires completing specific quests—not passive XP gains.

Notable free rewards include Terrance and Phillip dolls as pickaxes and a CRED backpack. The ultimate prize, the Imaginationland Airship glider, unlocks after completing every pass quest. This glider references South Park’s epic three-episode arc originally planned as a theatrical movie.

According to breakdown, players must actively engage with quests to earn these exclusive items—no shortcuts available.

Game-Changing Items and Mechanics

Kenny Token introduces revolutionary gameplay—holding this token grants automatic reboot upon death. This rare loot item could drastically shift late-game survival strategies depending on spawn frequency.

Cheesy Poofs function as dual-purpose items: healing consumables that also damage enemies when thrown. This eliminates frustrating accidental throws while adding strategic offensive options.

The Stick of Truth spawns once per match and transforms its holder into the round’s final boss. Rather than granting superpowers, it forces the storm circle to center on the holder for the entire remaining match—creating intense tactical challenges.

Cartmanland Map Transformation

Wonkeeland POI receives a complete South Park makeover, becoming Cartmanland with Cartman’s branding throughout. The theme park retains its original layout while incorporating South Park’s signature aesthetic and references to the show’s memorable episode.

This map change marks another major location takeover following previous collaborations, though South Park’s integration extends deeper with mechanical gameplay additions rather than purely cosmetic alterations.

Premium Skins in Item Shop

Five mech-suited versions of South Park’s main characters hit the item shop: Stan, Kyle, Kenny, Cartman, and Butters. The standout cosmetic is Towelie, available as a sidekick back bling—perfect for dedicated players seeking unique companions.

For Fortnite collectors and South Park fans, this collaboration represents one of the most comprehensive crossovers in recent memory, combining extensive gameplay modifications with substantial free content alongside premium shop items.

The event’s multi-layered approach—new game mode, unique mechanics, map transformation, and generous free rewards—sets a new standard for Fortnite collaborations moving into 2026.
