The Meaning Behind Her Unique Name

Pawan Kalyan daughter Polena Anjana carries a name rich with cultural significance. “Polena” honors her mother’s Russian roots, reminiscent of the traditional name Apollinaria, while “Anjana” pays tribute to her paternal grandmother Anjana Devi. The surname “Pawanova” cleverly incorporates her father’s screen name, creating a beautiful fusion of two cultures.

Growing Up in the Prestigious Konidela Family

As part of Telugu cinema’s first family, Polena shares connections with industry legends. Her uncles include megastar Chiranjeevi, recipient of the Padma Bhushan award, and producer Nagendra Babu. Despite this illustrious lineage, Polena maintains a remarkably private lifestyle, focusing on her education at a Hyderabad private school.

Her half-sister Aadhya Konidela, daughter of actress Renu Desai, shares a warm bond with Polena despite having different mothers. Half-brother Akira Nandan, born in 2004, pursues creative interests away from public attention. Full brother Mark Shankar Pawanovich completes her immediate sibling circle.

Rare Temple Visit Makes Headlines

In October 2024, Pawan Kalyan daughter Polena Anjana made a significant public appearance at Tirumala temple alongside her father and half-sister Aadhya. According to The Economic Times, she signed a declaration of faith before darshan, with Pawan Kalyan co-signing as her legal guardian since she’s a minor.

This visit was part of Pawan Kalyan’s 11-day Prayaschitha Deeksha (penance) related to political commitments. The heartwarming family photos from this rare outing went viral across social media, with fans expressing affection for the father-daughter bond.

Living Between Two Cultures

Mother Anna Lezhneva, a former Russian Orthodox believer who embraced Indian traditions post-marriage, ensures Polena experiences both her heritages. Sources describe the young girl as cheerful, joyful, and naturally shy around crowds—traits that keep her grounded despite her celebrity lineage.

Anna, reportedly worth ₹1800 crore with properties across Russia and Singapore, maintains a low-profile lifestyle focused on family. This approach has allowed Polena to enjoy a relatively normal childhood away from constant media scrutiny.

Life Away from the Limelight

Unlike many star kids who embrace social media early, Pawan Kalyan daughter Polena Anjana has no public social media presence. Her parents consciously shield her from unnecessary attention, allowing her to focus on education and personal growth without the pressures of celebrity culture.

Standing approximately 5’9″ tall with characteristic Konidela features—black hair and dark eyes—Polena is growing into a distinct personality while maintaining her family’s values of humility and cultural respect.
