Donnarumma to stay at AC Milan; Tomori could end up signing with Milan permanently

Milan stars Gigi Donnarumma, Hakan Calhanoglu and Zlatan Ibrahimovic have their contracts expiring in the next three months. Transfer rumours linking Donnarumma to Chelsea have been surfacing heavily in recent weeks.

While the appreciation is normal, The numbers are crazy considering his age, 22 which shows how good the player is between the sticks. He is very underrated outside Italy, mainly because he has never played Champions League football, but is no doubt the best goalkeeper in Serie A.

Speaking on the situation on the Here We Go podcast, Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Chelsea are not talking to sign the player. They like the player and that’s normal but at the moment he is talking with Milan about extending the contract he currently has at the club.

And it is highly possible that Donnarumma will end up agreeing on a new deal with the Rossoneri. But he wants a release clause in his new contract. It’s his priority to stay at the club since he loves it there and wants to achieve big things with the club.

Sticking to the defensive side of things, Fikayo Tomori is performing amazingly and recently replaced Romagnoli on the pitch. The youngster is highly appreciated by Milan fans. He is on loan and AC Milan are thinking of triggering the buyout option.

However, they are looking to wait and are going to sit with Chelsea at the end of the season. Paolo Maldini was always appreciating Tomori, according to Romano. They are in love with him. €28 million is the figure put up for the player and it isn’t as easy for Milan but they could just end up paying the fees

Tomori is probably the best player on loan at the club. If Milan don’t sign him then they will end up signing someone else. But considering the success that the Chelsea loanee has had, they would be wise to invest in a long term deal for the player.
