Berlin Season 2

What’s the New Season About?

After the Paris jewel heist in Season 1, Berlin shifts gears to Seville for an even more audacious plan. The plot centers on stealing Leonardo da Vinci’s famous painting, The Lady with an Ermine. But here’s the twist—the heist is actually a clever front. Berlin and Damián are really targeting the Duke and Duchess of Málaga, a wealthy couple attempting to blackmail our favorite mastermind.

The storyline promises the signature blend of intrigue, romance, and elaborate planning that made the original Money Heist a global phenomenon.

Who’s Returning to the Crew?

Pedro Alonso leads the charge again as Berlin, joined by the original team: Michelle Jenner (Keila), Tristán Ulloa (Damián), Begoña Vargas (Cameron), Julio Peña Fernández (Roi), and Joel Sánchez (Bruce).

Fresh faces include Inma Cuesta as Candela, described as someone who will “steal Berlin’s heart,” alongside José Luis García-Pérez and Marta Nieto as the Duke and Duchess of Málaga.

Creators Álex Pina and Esther Martínez Lobato return to helm this chapter, ensuring the signature style fans love remains intact. For those interested in other Spanish series, check out Netflix’s Spanish content lineup.

Behind the Scenes

Filming wrapped across multiple Spanish locations including Seville, Madrid, San Sebastián, and Peñíscola. Directors Albert Pintó, David Barrocal, and José Manuel Cravioto split the eight episodes, bringing diverse visual styles to the series.

What Made Season 1 Special?

The first Berlin season, which premiered in December 2023, took a lighter approach compared to Money Heist’s intense drama. It focused on Berlin’s golden years, showcasing his charm, wit, and criminal genius during a jewel heist in Paris. The show struck a balance between comedy and crime, giving fans a fresh perspective on one of the franchise’s most complex characters.
