Bologna’s Recent Struggles
Bologna arrive in Saudi Arabia following a disappointing 1-0 home defeat to Juventus, compounded by Torbjorn Heggem’s red card. Despite their inconsistent domestic form—collecting just one point from their last three Serie A fixtures—they showed European credentials with a 2-1 victory over Celta Vigo in the Europa League.
Vincenzo Italiano’s side remain in contention for Champions League qualification but face defensive personnel concerns heading into this crucial encounter.

Inter’s Relentless March
Simone Inzaghi’s Inter maintain their position atop Serie A despite not reaching the dominant heights of previous campaigns. Their 2-1 victory at Genoa—secured through first-half strikes from Yann Bisseck and Lautaro Martinez—extended their winning streak and demonstrated their championship resilience.
However, the Nerazzurri have shown vulnerability in high-stakes encounters this season, suffering defeats to AC Milan, Napoli, and Liverpool.
Team News & Tactical Considerations
Bologna welcome back Heggem despite his dismissal, though injuries to Martin Vitik, Nicolo Casale, Lukasz Skorupski, and Remo Freuler limit Italiano’s options. Inter face their own defensive headaches with Francesco Acerbi, Matteo Darmian, and Denzel Dumfries all unavailable.
