OnePlus 15R Debuts Most Advanced R-Series Selfie Camera

OnePlus is raising the bar for value flagships with the OnePlus 15R, launching December 17 in Bengaluru. The ultimate value flagship introduces the most sophisticated selfie camera ever featured on an R-series device, combining a 32-megapixel sensor with autofocus capabilities and groundbreaking video recording—all powered by the exclusive Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset.

OnePlus 15R Specifications

Selfie Camera Revolution

The OnePlus 15R doubles down on selfie quality with its 32-megapixel front camera—twice the resolution of the OnePlus 13R’s 16-megapixel sensor. This R-series first includes autofocus technology, ensuring razor-sharp clarity whether you’re capturing solo portraits or group shots. Gone are the days of blurry selfies struggling to find focus.

Video creators will appreciate the massive leap to 4K recording at 30 frames per second, a significant upgrade from the 1080p standard on previous R-series models. Combined with the DetailMax Engine borrowed from the flagship OnePlus 15, users gain access to advanced computational photography including Ultra Clear Mode, Clear Burst, and Clear Night Engine for stunning low-light performance.

Performance Powerhouse

OnePlus 15R becomes the world’s first globally available device featuring the co-defined and co-optimized Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, developed in collaboration with OnePlus for peak efficiency. The OnePlus G2 Wi-Fi chip maintains rock-solid connectivity anywhere, while the Touch Response Chip delivers instantaneous touch recognition that outpaces competing devices.

The 7,400 mAh battery stands as the largest capacity OnePlus has ever packed into an Indian market phone. Engineered to withstand extreme environmental conditions, this powerhouse maintains at least 80% capacity after four years of use—perfect for heavy users who demand all-day endurance without compromise.

Display and Content Creation

Every photo and video shines on the 165Hz 1.5K AMOLED display, offering buttery-smooth scrolling and vibrant colors. The main camera’s ability to record 4K video at 120 frames per second opens new creative possibilities for slow-motion content, action shots, and professional-grade videography. This combination positions the OnePlus 15R as a serious content creation tool disguised as a mid-range smartphone.

The DetailMax Engine’s computational photography algorithms work seamlessly across both front and rear cameras, ensuring consistent quality whether you’re vlogging, streaming, or capturing everyday moments. For photography enthusiasts seeking flagship-level features without the premium price tag, the OnePlus 15R delivers exceptional value.
