The Biggest Reveals

Pragmata Drops Day-One on Switch 2: Capcom’s long-awaited sci-fi adventure—featuring astronaut Hugh and android Diana—arrives simultaneously across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Switch 2 on April 24, 2026. According to Capcom’s official announcement, this marks the first confirmed day-one AAA parity for Nintendo’s unannounced hardware.

A free demo launched immediately after the reveal, giving players early access to Pragmata’s lunar colony mysteries. The Switch 2’s ability to run this next-gen REX Engine title demonstrates significant power upgrades over the original Switch.

Orbitals—Switch 2’s First Exclusive: Developer Shapefarm unveiled Orbitals, an 80s anime-inspired co-op adventure exclusive to Switch 2. Players control dual protagonists Maki and Omura in split-screen action as they traverse space saving their crumbling station home. The cel-shaded aesthetic and mandatory co-op gameplay channel It Takes Two energy, positioning this as a potential system-seller for Nintendo’s family-focused audience.

Horror Arrives on Switch 2

Phasmophobia brings its multiplayer ghost-hunting phenomenon to Nintendo fans in 2026. The psychological horror co-op title—already massive on PC and console—confirmed Switch 2 support during The Game Awards presentation. With four-player ghost investigation gameplay requiring coordination, communication, and courage, Phasmophobia expands Switch 2’s demographic beyond traditional Nintendo audiences.

South of Midnight Goes Multiplatform: Compulsion Games’ Southern supernatural action-adventure—featuring protagonist Hazel’s magical weaving abilities—launches on Switch 2 in Spring 2026 after debuting on Xbox and PC earlier in the year. This continues Microsoft’s multiplatform strategy under CEO Satya Nadella’s vision.
