Nothing Phone 3a Community Edition Details

Four Community-Designed Elements

Hardware Design by Emre Kayganacl: Bold nostalgic color exploration inspired by late 90s/early 2000s transparent gaming hardware. The design maintains Phone 3a’s modern identity while channeling Game Boy Color and iMac G3 aesthetics.

Dice Accessory by Reveland (Ambrogio Tacconi & Louis Aymonod): Custom dice featuring Nothing’s Ndot 55 font blend traditional play with technical branding—a completely new category introduced for Community Edition 2025.

Software by Jad Zock: Custom lock screen clock using multiple font weights to reduce visual clutter, plus four wallpaper variants (including blue and purple) bridging exterior hardware design with internal interface seamlessly.

Marketing Campaign by Sushruta Sarkar: “Made Together” concept focuses on collaborative creative process rather than specific product features, inspiring community-driven innovation.

Specifications Match Standard Phone 3a

The Community Edition retains identical internals: 6.77-inch FHD+ AMOLED (120Hz, 3000 nits peak), Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, 12GB LPDDR4X RAM, 256GB UFS 2.2 storage, triple cameras (50MP main with OIS, 8MP ultrawide, 50MP 2x telephoto), 32MP selfie, 5000mAh battery with 50W charging, IP64 rating, and Android 16 with Nothing OS 4 OTA available.

Community Investment Push

The launch coincides with Nothing’s $5 million community investment round at $1.3 billion Series C valuation. Early access opens December 10 via Wefunder (US) and Crowdcube, with public access December 11. This strategic funding shift focuses on building AI-native operating systems beyond hardware foundation.

Nothing introduced £1,000 cash prizes per category and released all briefs simultaneously for deeper iteration—marking significant community investment program evolution.

How to Buy the Exclusive Edition

Critical: Only 1,000 units exist globally. India buyers must attend the offline drop event December 13 between 2-6 PM IST at 33&Brew, Brookefield, Bengaluru. No online sales, no pre-orders—first-come, first-served at the exclusive location only.

With Nothing’s growing ecosystem including Phone 3, Phone 3 Plus, Phone 3a, Phone 3a Plus, CMF Phone 1, and CMF Phone 2, the Community Edition represents the brand’s commitment to participatory design philosophy over traditional top-down product development.
