Kim Gun Woo Shocks Choi Sung Eun With Unexpected Proposal in “Last Summer”

Love triangles just got more complicated! The KBS romance drama “Last Summer” is heating up as Kim Gun Woo’s character makes a surprising move that leaves Choi Sung Eun’s Song Ha Gyeong completely stunned. Will this unexpected proposal shift the dynamics of the love triangle with Lee Jae Wook?

Last Summer: Drama Facts

What’s the Story Behind “Last Summer”?

“Last Summer” follows childhood friends who uncover the long-buried truth about their first love. Lee Jae Wook delivers a compelling dual performance as twin brothers Baek Do Ha (a talented architect) and Baek Do Yeong, while Choi Sung Eun portrays Song Ha Gyeong, a civil servant desperate to leave her small hometown of Patan Village behind.

The drama centers on childhood friends whose 17-year bond was shattered by a mysterious incident two years ago. When Do Ha suddenly returns to Korea from the United States, Ha Gyeong’s peaceful life spirals into chaos—especially when lawyer Seo Su Hyeok (Kim Gun Woo) enters the picture with his own romantic intentions.

The Shocking Proposal Revealed

According to Soompi’s exclusive coverage, the upcoming episode promises a major turning point. Previously, Seo Su Hyeok expressed interest in Song Ha Gyeong during a meal with Baek Do Ha, creating subtle tension between the two men.

The newly released stills show Ha Gyeong and Su Hyeok sharing drinks at a bar in an unexpectedly relaxed atmosphere—a stark contrast to their first confrontational meeting as opposing counsel. Su Hyeok’s gentle gaze toward Ha Gyeong suggests deeper feelings, and his surprising proposal leaves her visibly bewildered with conflicting emotions.

The Love Triangle Intensifies

What makes this love triangle particularly intriguing is the layered history between all three characters. Do Ha and Ha Gyeong share childhood memories and unresolved feelings, while Su Hyeok represents a fresh start—someone untainted by past pain. The question viewers are asking: will Ha Gyeong choose the comfort of nostalgia or the promise of something new?
