Finding the Patrol Car Key

Primary Location: Ruby Residence (Dam Battlegrounds)

The Patrol Car key spawns most reliably in the Ruby Residence building on the eastern side of the Dam Battlegrounds map. Here’s your farming route:

Mark Ruby Residence on your map before deployment
Clear the building of threats first
Search desks and lockers thoroughly—these containers have highest spawn rates
Check the Research and Administration building if unsuccessful
Store the key in your Safe Pocket immediately to prevent loss on death

Since this is a random spawn item developed by Embark Studios, persistence pays off. Some players find it first try; others need multiple raids. Need more loot farming tips? Check our Arc Raiders high-tier loot guide.

Using the Patrol Car Key: Step-by-Step

Once you’ve secured the key, head to the Blue Gate map for the payoff:

Use your flashlight in the dark areas
Locate and ride the zipline down to the underground section

Frequently Asked Questions

How many times can I use the Patrol Car key?

The Patrol Car key is single-use only. Once you unlock a Patrol Car and claim the loot inside, the key is consumed and cannot be reused. This makes finding it worthwhile since each unlock provides substantial high-tier gear and blueprints.

Will the Patrol Car key always spawn in Ruby Residence?

No, the spawn is RNG-based, meaning it’s not guaranteed every raid. Ruby Residence has the highest spawn probability, particularly in desks and lockers. If you don’t find it after several attempts, try the Research and Administration building or return to Speranza and retry the raid.
