EA FC26 just dropped the El Capitan Evolution in Ultimate Team, and striker enthusiasts are buzzing. This premium evolution transforms mid-tier forwards into elite goal scorers with game-changing stat boosts. But is it worth your 30,000 coins or 400 FC Points? Let’s break it down.
EA FC26 Overview
| Attribute | Details |
|---|---|
| Cost | 30,000 Coins or 400 FC Points |
| Evolution Levels | 5 Levels |
| Eligible Position | ST (Max 84 Rating) |
| Key Upgrades | +3 Weak Foot, CAM Position, Multiple PlayStyles |
| Promo Event | UEFA Primetime |
Who Can Use El Capitan Evolution?
Your striker must meet specific criteria. They need an 84 maximum overall rating, play as ST (not RW/LW), have no more than three positions and ten PlayStyles, and can’t be World Tour Silver Stars Icons.
Top Strikers to Evolve
Smart players are targeting these forwards: Xavi Simons (84), Ademola Lookman (84), and Lois Openda (83) lead the pack for meta potential. Budget-conscious gamers love Georginio Rutter (77) and Bonny (81) for maximum value gains. Women’s stars like Mayra Rodriguez (83) and Jessica Naz (83) also benefit massively.
Game-Changing Upgrades
The evolution delivers significant boosts across five levels. You’ll gain the coveted +3 weak foot star upgrade at Level 3, unlock CAM position versatility at Level 4, and receive powerful PlayStyles including Incisive Pass, Chip Shot, and Finesse Shot+. Finishing and positioning each jump by +10, while pace increases by +5 to keep your striker competitive.
How to Complete It
Grinding through challenges requires dedication. Start by playing matches in Squad Battles, Rivals, Rush, or Champions modes. Score goals and rack up assists with your evolution player. The entire process takes approximately 13 matches if you’re efficient, but the transformation is worth every game.
Is El Capitan Evolution Worth It?
Absolutely. For teams building around strikers, this evolution offers professional-level upgrades at a reasonable price. The versatility of adding CAM positioning plus enhanced weak foot makes your striker unpredictable in attack. Compared to buying a premium forward, evolving an 80-rated Gabriel Jesus or 84-rated Lookman delivers better value and identical performance.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use El Capitan Evolution on any striker?
No, only strikers rated 84 or below who meet the position and PlayStyle requirements qualify. Check your player’s eligibility before purchasing.
How long does it take to complete all five levels?
Most players complete El Capitan Evolution in 13-15 matches, depending on your skill level and game mode choice. Squad Battles on Semi-Pro difficulty offers the fastest route.
