2PM’s Taecyeon Says “I Do”: K-Pop Idol Confirms Spring 2026 Wedding

The K-pop world just got swept up in wedding fever! 2PM’s beloved Taecyeon has officially announced he’s walking down the aisle with his longtime girlfriend next spring. After years of quietly dating and a romantic Paris proposal that sent fans into a frenzy, the 36-year-old idol-actor is ready to start his forever chapter.

Taecyeon’s Wedding: Essential Details

From K-Pop Heartthrob to Happy Husband

51K Entertainment dropped the heartwarming news on November 1, 2025, confirming what fans suspected since that viral Paris proposal moment. Taecyeon first went public with his relationship in 2020, showing remarkable maturity in protecting his partner’s privacy while sharing his happiness with fans.

The agency’s statement emphasized the couple’s desire for intimacy: “The wedding will be held privately at a location in Seoul next spring, with only close friends, family, and relatives in attendance.” Since his bride-to-be isn’t in the entertainment industry, they’re keeping details intentionally low-key—a refreshing approach in today’s hyper-public celebrity culture.

The Paris Proposal That Started It All

Earlier in 2025, eagle-eyed fans spotted Taecyeon on bended knee in the City of Love, presenting a sparkling ring to his girlfriend. The photos went viral across Korean entertainment sites, sparking immediate engagement speculation. While 51K stayed diplomatically quiet at the time, those romantic Parisian snapshots now make perfect sense.

Choosing Paris as his proposal backdrop shows Taecyeon’s thoughtful side—combining privacy with grandeur for one of life’s biggest moments.

Who Is Taecyeon’s Mystery Bride?

Respecting the couple’s wishes, 51K confirmed only that she’s a non-celebrity. This decision protects her from the intense scrutiny K-pop partners often face. Taecyeon’s fans, known for their loyalty, have largely supported this boundary, celebrating his happiness rather than demanding details.

The couple’s five-year relationship demonstrates patience and genuine connection—rare qualities in the fast-paced entertainment world.

What’s Next for the 2PM Star?

Marriage won’t slow down Taecyeon’s thriving career. The agency assured fans he’ll “continue to greet you with good projects and a wide variety of activities.” Currently starring in the drama The First Night with the Duke on Viki, Taecyeon has successfully transitioned from K-pop idol to respected actor.

His filmography includes memorable roles in Vincenzo, Secret Royal Inspector & Joy, and Blind, proving his versatility beyond the stage. With 2PM celebrating their 17th debut anniversary, Taecyeon balances solo acting pursuits with group activities seamlessly.

The 2PM Brotherhood Reacts

While official statements from fellow 2PM members haven’t surfaced yet, fans expect heartfelt congratulations from Junho, Chansung, Wooyoung, Nichkhun, and Jun.K. The group’s genuine brotherhood has been evident throughout their nearly two-decade career, and Taecyeon’s wedding will undoubtedly bring them together for celebration.

Why This Marriage Matters to K-Pop Culture

Taecyeon’s announcement represents a shifting landscape where K-pop idols increasingly embrace normal life milestones without fear. While dating scandals once derailed careers, mature artists like Taecyeon demonstrate that marriage and professional success can coexist.

His transparency about relationships sets a positive precedent for younger idols navigating fame’s pressures. Fans worldwide are learning to celebrate their favorites’ personal happiness alongside professional achievements.
