Rolling out from October 29, this expansion reinforces Samsung’s commitment to democratizing mobile AI experiences. With Galaxy AI projected to reach over 400 million devices by end of 2025, the platform is rapidly becoming essential to daily routines globally.

India’s Linguistic Revolution

The Gujarati language integration was developed in close collaboration with Samsung Research India, showcasing the company’s commitment to India’s multilingual landscape.

“The addition of Gujarati to Galaxy AI is a significant milestone in our mission to democratize AI in India,” said Giridhar Jakki, Senior Director and Head of Language AI Team at Samsung R&D Institute India, Bengaluru. “We’re enabling native speakers to seamlessly use features like Call Assist and Interpreter—all powered by advanced on-device AI technology.”

Galaxy AI adoption in India is staggering, with 91 percent of Galaxy S25 users actively engaging with AI features—far exceeding the global average of 70 percent. This demonstrates India’s enthusiastic embrace of AI-powered mobile experiences.

Growing Global Impact

Since debuting with the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy AI has expanded at unprecedented speed. After reaching 200 million devices in 2024, Samsung is doubling that figure within a single year. Nearly half (47%) of consumers today rely heavily on AI in their daily lives, using it for communication, productivity, and learning.

The newly supported languages are available as downloadable language packs through the Settings app. As Samsung continues expanding Galaxy AI’s linguistic capabilities, it’s creating technology that honors cultural diversity while connecting people across borders seamlessly.
