You surely know about the evolution of Wi-Fi 6 technology. It is getting a boost now as MediaTek to be on the testbed for Wi-Fi 6E. This is a new certification from Wi-Fi Alliance for Wi-Fi CERTIFIED 6 devices having 6GHz support. The chip-maker giant has an access point wireless solution, MT7915-AP-AX along with a client-side wireless solution, MT7915-STA-AX on the test bed. These two test bed are able to support all the unlicensed actions in the 6GHz, side by side, other advanced Wi-Fi 6 based connectivity features, multiple resource unit (RU) sizes for excellent simultaneous Of DMA operations of multiple users.

Alan Hsu, the Corporate Vice Precedent at MediaTek said, “MediaTek has the broadest Wi-Fi portfolio and is the No. 1 Wi-Fi supplier across broadband, retail routers, consumer electronics devices and gaming with its Wi-Fi solutions that power hundreds of millions of devices every year,” He further added,  “With our access point and client-side solutions as part of the Wi-Fi 6E test bed for the product certification process, we look forward to helping our customers meet the latest connectivity requirements by bringing next generation connectivity features to the products consumers love.”

No doubt, MediaTek has worked with Wi-Fi Alliance for a long time to implement the latest Wi-Fi features. At present, the MediaTek Wi-Fi 6 chip solutions having Wi-Fi 6E functions can support 1024-QAM and OFDMA to enhance the performance, target wake time (TWT) for improved battery life, WPA3 for high security, and multi-user multiple-input, multiple-output (MU-MIMO) for higher capacity. Other than all these, MediaTek’s solutions can handle optional Wi-Fi CertIFIED 6 R1 features and Wi-Fi CERTIFIED EASYMESH R2 features too.
