Redmi has confirmed last week that they are going to launch the Redmi K40 series in February as well as shared some of its key specs and pricing of the K40 lineup. Yesterday, another report has come out saying that the Redmi K40 series could get launched with two different versions of the Snapdragon 888 chipset. To be precise, there will be a possibility of at least two Snapdragon 888 versions of the upcoming Redmi K40 series.

Last year, Redmi launched its K30 series of smartphones with multiple varieties. At the beginning of 2020, Redmi had firstly launched the Redmi K30 5G. In the month of February, Redmi announced the Redmi K30 Pro and Redmi K30 Pro Zoom edition. Both the phones are powered by the Snapdragon 865 chipsets whereas the Zoom edition offered a better photography experience.
Two different versions of the Snapdragon 888 means the Redmi K40 Pro could be powered by the SD 888 chipset whereas the other model that will have the SD 888 could be the successor of the Redmi K30 Pro Zoom edition. As per its vanilla model, it could be powered by the Dimensity 1200 or 1100 chipset or the new Snapdragon 700-series chipset.

As per the other specifications, the Redmi K40 series could feature the most expensive flat punch-hole display with the support of a higher refresh rate. Regarding the battery, this phone is expected to be fueled up by a 4,000+mAH battery. As of now, the company has not confirmed the detailed price tags of the Redmi K40 series but revealed the starting price tag of 2,999 Yuan (~$462).
