Despite rumours circulating around the departure of Christian Eriksen from Inter Milan immediately after the player was deemed surplus to requirements by the club, there has been no official bid tabled for the midfielder yet.
That is according to Italian transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, who has been maintaining that while the likes of Arsenal and PSG are interested in bringing the player over, there has been no official contact between the clubs regarding a move for the Dane.
Inter are hoping for a bid for the player in the next few days, or weeks and are desperately trying to get rid of him in the January transfer window itself, which is now open. Eriksen has found himself on the bench on various occasions and has spent most of his time on the pitch coming on from the bench in the dying minutes of regulation time.Â
Considering his talent, which is proven from his time at Tottenham, the player can bring a lot to any team that he is a part of when the situation is favourable. Right now, that is most certainly not the case. The player left Tottenham only last January, and has a contract running until 2024 with the Nerazzurri.
Both Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain are in the market for a creative midfielder. The Gunners require an attack-minded player more desperately than the Parisians since their creativity has been heavily limited this season.Â
Paris, on the other hand, need some creativity themselves to balance out their highly defensive-minded midfield. Now that Mauricio Pochettino is officially confirmed as the manager of the reigning French champions, a move to the capital of France could be more likely for Eriksen considering his great relationship with Pochettino from their time together at Spurs.Â
