State of Fear, a spin-off of the hit series Brotherhood, sends a São Paulo lawyer racing to rescue her kidnapped niece while negotiating with corrupt cops. Long tracking shots and relentless pacing make it a standout crime thriller.

It racked up 6.6 million views in its first week alone. If Spanish thrillers are your thing, our roundup of Spanish TV series on Netflix has more picks for your watchlist.

Colors of Evil: Black brings back prosecutor Leopold Bilski for a new missing-persons case that links back to old, unsolved crimes. The first installment scored an impressive 80% on Rotten Tomatoes, and this sequel keeps the Polish mystery franchise’s grim, atmospheric tone intact.

Why Spanish Cinema Keeps Winning on Netflix

Two of these seven titles, Firebreak and The Marked Woman, are Spanish, and both shot straight into Netflix’s global Top 10 within days. It’s a pattern that tracks with Spain’s long streaming run, from Money Heist to Elite, and 2026 shows no sign of it slowing.
