505 Games acquires Ghostrunner IP, teases more Cyperpunk Ninja action for players this year

Free Photo Mode and Kill Run Mode arrive this spring alongside premium DLC

CALABASAS, Calif. – April 1, 2021 – 505 Games is offering an advanced look at the development roadmap for its first-person cyberpunk action-slasher game Ghostrunner, teasing to players an action-packed year that will see a variety of free and premium content launch for the award-winning game.

The advanced look at development follows 505 Games’ recent acquisition of the Ghostrunner IP from Polish publisher All in Games! and the launch of the game on Amazon’s cloud-based gaming platform Amazon Luna.

Players can look forward to two new game modes coming to Ghostrunner on all platforms in spring, including Kill Run Mode – a challenging mode where players have limited time to complete levels, and the highly-requested Photo Mode.

Premium cosmetic DLC will also be available in spring, leading to a steady flow of new content throughout summer and culminating with the rollout of a free next-generation update for console players later this year.

The acquisition of the Ghostrunner is the latest in a series of recent investments 505 Games has made as the global publisher continues to build its roster of in-house studios and owned IPs.

“Ghostrunner is one of the most impressive indie games we’ve seen, boasting AAA tech and a unique futuristic cyberpunk-inspired world that’s both intriguing and terrifying,” said Rami and Raffi Galante, 505 Games’ co-founders. “Ghostrunner is a welcome addition to the 505 Games library of owned IP.”

Ghostrunner is a hardcore cyberpunk adventure developed by One More Level, 3D Realms, and Slipgate Ironworks, and co-published by 505 Games and All in Games! for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. Ghostrunner will launch for PlayStation 5 and Xbox One consoles later this year.
