The 2026 FIFA World Cup is already the largest in history — 48 teams, 104 matches, three host nations. And now its opening ceremonies are matching that scale with a performer lineup that has the entire internet talking. From K-pop royalty to hip-hop heavyweights to Latin legends, here is every confirmed act across all three ceremonies.
2026 FIFA World Cup Opening Ceremonies
| Host City | Date | Venue | Opening Match |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mexico City | June 11, 2026 | Estadio Azteca | Mexico vs South Africa |
| Toronto, Canada | June 12, 2026 | TBC | Canada vs Bosnia & Herzegovina |
| Los Angeles, USA | June 12, 2026 | SoFi Stadium | USA vs Paraguay |
Los Angeles Ceremony — The Headliners
The ceremony in Los Angeles will feature performances from Katy Perry, Future, Anitta, LISA, Rema and Tyla, with additional artists still to be announced, according to FIFA.
BLACKPINK’s Lisa will become only the second K-pop idol after BTS Jungkook to perform at a FIFA World Cup opening ceremony — and also the first-ever female K-pop idol and the first Thai person to headline one. Lisa is also reportedly preparing to release an official World Cup soundtrack alongside Anitta, Rema and Brazilian music group Tropkillaz. FilmibeatThe Korea Times
FIFA President Gianni Infantino said: “This opening ceremony in Los Angeles represents the extraordinary scale of what the FIFA World Cup 2026 will become. The lineup of artists reflects the cultural diversity of the United States and the vibrancy of its many diasporas.” NBC Los Angeles
The Los Angeles ceremony will begin 90 minutes before kick-off on June 12, with stadium gates opening four hours early for fan activations and live programming. Manila Bulletin
Mexico City Ceremony — Latin Icons Take the Stage
The lineup confirmed for the opening ceremony in Mexico includes Alejandro Fernández, Belinda, Danny Ocean, J Balvin, Lila Downs, Los Ángeles Azules, Maná and Tyla. Legendary Mexican rock band Maná headline a ceremony that promises deep cultural resonance for the host nation’s fans. FIFA plans for Mexico’s ceremony to run slightly longer than the others. Toronto Ceremony — Canada’s Cultural Celebration
In Canada, FIFA announced the participation of Alanis Morissette, Alessia Cara, Elyanna, Jessie Reyez, Michael Bublé, Nora Fatehi, Sanjoy, Vegedream and William Prince. The Toronto ceremony combines live performances with cultural storytelling celebrating Canadian identity — marking Canada’s first-ever men’s World Cup match on home soil. NBC Los Angeles
