The first Pokémon GO Community Day for 2024 is here! Mark your calendars for an exciting day of battles, bonuses, and bonding with fellow trainers on Saturday, January 6th, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time (IST in India).

This year, we’re hosting virtual trainer meetups in seventeen cities across India. Whether you’re strolling through New Delhi’s Lodhi Gardens or exploring Mumbai’s Horniman Circle Garden, prepare yourself for a day filled with fun and adventure. Other meetup locations include parks and landmarks in Pune, Gurugram, Jaipur, Bengaluru, Kanpur, Vadodara, Kolkata, Varanasi, Patna, Chennai, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Thiruvananthapuram, and Visakhapatnam.
Catch More Rowlets
During the event, the adorable owl Pokémon, Rowlet, will appear more frequently in the wild. This gives you a fantastic opportunity to add this fan-favorite to your collection or strengthen your existing Rowlet squad.
Learn Spirit Shackle with Decidueye
The event also introduces a new move for Decidueye. Starting with the event and continuing afterwards, your Decidueye will be able to learn the Charged Attack Spirit Shackle. In Trainer Battles, this move has a power of 50 and a chance to lower the opposing Pokémon’s Defense by one stage. In Gyms and Raids, it boasts a power of 70.
Community Day Special Research Story
For just US$1.00 (or the equivalent in your local currency), you can access the exclusive Rowlet Community Day Special Research story. Stay tuned for ticket availability. Remember, you can now purchase and gift tickets to any of your friends that you’ve achieved a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher with. However, please note that this Special Research will not include an in-game medal.
Post-Event Raid Battles
The excitement doesn’t end when the Community Day event does. From 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. local time (IST in India), trainers can participate in special four-star Raid Battles. Claiming victory will cause more Rowlet to appear around the Gym that hosted the raid for 30 minutes. Get ready to battle Dartrix in four-star raids. Please note that these raids can only be joined using Raid Passes and Premium Battle Passes.
Event Bundles
Two special Community Day bundles will be available during the event. For 1,350 PokéCoins, you can get 50 Ultra Balls, five Super Incubators, one Elite Charged TM, and five Lucky Eggs. For 480 PokéCoins, you’ll receive 30 Ultra Balls, one Incense, three Super Incubators, and one Lure Module. Be sure to visit the in-game shop to grab these deals!
