Apple: Here’s all that the Cupertino giant is rumored to be working on

All eyes are on the incoming M2 MacBook Air, which has undergone a complete redesign and could be available in a few weeks. While the M2 MacBook Pro has begun to reach customers, we are learning more about how it performs in a range of settings.

According to MacRumors Apple intends to release the new MacBook Air with the M2 chip on Friday, July 15. This means that pre-orders will probably start on Friday, July 8. The new MacBook Air was previously scheduled to go on sale in July, but Apple did not specify a timeframe.

With a larger 13.6-inch display, a notch, a flatter appearance, and new Starlight and Midnight color options, the new MacBook Air has undergone significant change. MagSafe 3 charging, an improved 1080p camera, two Thunderbolt 3 ports, a Magic Keyboard with tactile Fn keys, a Touch ID button, and other innovations are included with the laptop.

Compared to the similar M1 model, the base M2 MacBook Pro’s 256GB storage variant has noticeably slower SSD read/write rates.

Blackmagic’s Disk Speed Test program and actual testing conducted by YouTube channels Max Tech and Created Tech revealed that the 256GB device’s read and write speeds are roughly 50% and 30% lower than those of the previous model.

A new HomePod with the same S8 chip as the Apple Watch Series 8 is one of the next Apple devices Gurman stated is in the works.

In contrast to becoming a new HomePod tiny, Gurman claimed that the new HomePod will be more similar to the original model in terms of size and audio quality. He said that the revised HomePod will have a display on top of the speaker, maybe with multi-touch capabilities.

Long-running reports stated that Apple was developing its own 5G modem for the next products, but analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said this week that Apple’s efforts had “failed” thus far and that Qualcomm will continue to be the company’s modem provider for iPhones in 2023.
