If you are an Oppo or Realme smartphone user, might notice the HayTap application pre-installed on your device. It’s a cloud storage service that provides 5GB of storage at no cost. At least till mid-January. The cloud service provider has changed its 5GB Free Storage Policy stating “We’ve decided to end the 5GB of free storage policy starting from mid-January 2022.”

When this new policy will come into effect, you as a user will not be able to upload any new data via backup, media files, any other files, Private Safe data, etc. However, can still sync some of your data like contacts, browser, and Wi-Fi settings.

In case you already stored some of your files or any data on your HayTap Free Cloud storage, you can either download it or upgrade to any paid plan. Your existing data will be intact in the free space for the next 180 days. You need to take appropriate steps within that time.

The users with paid storage plans and/or having bonus storage will have no impact of this new policy until the plan expires.
