Google Pixel 6 and Google Pixel 6 Pro launched and will be available in these countries

Google has finally launched its flagship lineup for the year, the Pixel 6 Series on the 19th of October in an online launch event. The lineup has two devices, the Google Pixel 6 and the Google Pixel 6 Pro.

The new Google Pixel 6 devices feature the company’s custom-developed Tensor chipset. The Google Pixel 6 Series will take on the top flagships in the smartphone market such as the OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S21 Series, and other Android flagship smartphones.

Let us take a look at the detailed specs of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro:

Google Pixel 6

The Google Pixel 6 comes with a 6.4″ Full HD+ display with a refresh rate of 90Hz. It has a 2K OLED display and the screen switches between 10Hz and 90Hz depending on the on-screen content.

The Pixel 6 features an in-display fingerprint scanner, support for HDR10, always-on display, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.

Coming to the camera specs of the Google Pixel 6, it features a dual-camera setup on the rear with a 50MP primary sensor and a 12MP ultrawide sensor.

Coming to the front camera, the device has an 8MP selfie shooter. It has camera features such as Motion Mode, Face Unblur, Magic Eraser, etc. Google has promised up to five years of software support for the Pixel 6.

It comes with a 4,600mAh battery with support for 30W wired fast charging and 21W wireless charging. The device is powered by the Tensor chipset that Google has paired with 8GB of RAM.

The Tensor chipset is arguably the biggest highlight of the Google Pixel 6.

The Google Pixel 6 comes in two storage configurations, an 8GB RAM+128GB and an 8GB+256GB variant. The base variant is priced at $599 or 45,900 INR.

Google Pixel 6 Pro

The Google Pixel 6 Pro comes with Google’s Tensor chipset under the hood. It comes with 12GB of RAM and has up to 512GB of internal storage.

The device features a massive 5,000mAh battery with 30W fast charging support(wired) and 23W wireless charging support.

Coming to the camera specs of the Google Pixel 6 Pro, it features a triple-camera setup on the rear with a 50MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 48MP telephoto camera with 4x optical zoom and 20x Super Res Zoom. For selfies, you get an 11.1MP front shooter.

The display is a 6.7″ 2K OLED display with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate. The screen switches between 10Hz and 120Hz depending on the on-screen content.

Other display specs feature an in-display fingerprint scanner, HDR10 support, Always-On display, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, and more.

The Pixel 6 Pro is powered by the Tensor chipset and runs Android 12 out of the box. It comes with Google’s proprietary Titan M2 chip for enhanced security.

Google has promised up to five years of software upgrades for the device.

Coming to the pricing, the Google Pixel 6 Pro retails for $898 or 67,500 INR for the 12GB RAM+128GB storage and also comes in 12GB RAM+256GB, and 12HB+512GB options. It comes in Cloudy White, Sorta Sunny, and Stormy Black options.

The new Pixel 6 Series will go on sale from the 28th of October. Unfortunately, the devices will not be available in the Indian markets as Google has chosen 8 major markets where it will release the Pixel 6 lineup.
