American technology company GoPro on Thursday announced the HERO10 Black. Powered by the company’s flagship GP2 processor. The new and high-performing processor provides breakthrough image quality with blistering video frame rates with ease, ensuring that the camera resets the bar for quality and performance. Besides, the action camera gets a new user interface for ease of use.

The big change in GoPro Hero 10 Black is the new GP2 processor. Thanks to it, the camera can now shoot up to 5.3K 60fps, 4K 120fps, and 2.7K 240fps videos. The supported framerates in all these resolutions have effectively doubled compared to the Hero 9 Black. It can also capture 23-megapixel photos and promises better low-light performance. The new processor also brings features such as noise reduction and local tone mapping to videos too.

The camera comes with the latest HyperSmooth 4.0 video stabilization technology, which the company claims will smooth out even the most shake-ladened experiences. The company has also improved its horizon levelling feature, which now has an increased tilt limit of 45-degrees in high-performance settings, up from 27-degrees.

It comes with a new protective lens cover with Hydrophobic, water-shedding design. There is a 1080p webcam mode, SuperPhoto + HDR, Night Lapse Video, RAW photo capture, TimeWarp 3.0, voice control with 13 commands in 11 languages and 6 accents.

The camera has a rugged and waterproof (up to 10 metres) shell. It features three microphones with advanced wind noise reduction feature. All of this is backed by a 1,720mAh battery with support for fast charging. The camera is compatible with the Media Mod, Display Mod, Light Mod and Max Lens Mod.

For content transfer, the Hero 10 Black provides wireless offloading to the Quik app at faster speeds of up to 30 percent. Quik subscribers can also enjoy cloud backup of their content, when saved to the Mural feed, through a subscription of Rs 499 annually. The camera also has a new USB wired offload option that transfers content to your phone’s Quik app 50 percent faster than wireless.

GoPro HERO10 Black Pricing and availability

In India, the GoPro HERO10 Black is priced at Rs. 54,500. It will be available for purchase in early November via Amazon, Flipkart, and other leading retailers. In the US, it costs $399.98 (around Rs. 29,400) including one-year GoPro Subscription.
