iQOO 8 India launch could be around the corner as the Indian variant is spotted at IMEI database

The iQOO 8 and the iQOO 8 Pro flagship devices are set to launch officially on the 17th of August in China. At present, there are no words on the other markets that will receive the iQOO 8 duo. A tipster has spotted the alleged Indian variant at the IMEI database.

The IMEI database has a new iQOO phone with the I2019 model number. The listing reveals that this model number belongs to the iQOO 8. While the iQOO 8 is more likely to make it to the Indian market in the near future, there is no exact word regarding the introduction of the iQOO 8 Pro in the market.

The iQOO 8 Series is scheduled to come with a BMW M Motorsport themed variant

The device may be powered by the Snapdragon 888 or the Snapdragon 888+ SoC, we are not sure which but it is speculated that the upcoming V2136A Vivo device was certified by China’s 3C authority could in fact be the upcoming iQOO 8 smartphone.

The leak further reveals that the iQOO 8 Pro will come with a 6.78″ Samsung AMOLED E5 Panel with curved edges, with support for 2K resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. We may get to see a 4,500mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.

A recent leak revealed that the iQOO 8 will feature an FHD+ 120Hz OLED flat display and a 4,350mAh battery that comes with support for 120W fast charging. It may feature a 48MP+13MP+13MP triple-camera setup on the rear. The front camera specs are unknown at the moment.

The Snapdragon 888+ is expected to power the iQOO 8 Pro. Coming to the camera specs of the device, we can expect a 50MP+48MP+16MP triple-camera unit, adequate for a flagship-level device.

Apart from this, the iQOO 8 Pro could have up to 12GB of RAM, 4GB of extended RAM, up to 256GB of internal storage, and OriginOS based Android 11.
