Realme 8 5G is now officially India’s Cheapest 5G smartphone

In the battle of 5G smartphones, the company is increasing day by day. Recently Telecom sectors have been given a green signal for the testing of the 5G spectrum in India. It is expected that the 5G series will be available for the masses by mid-2022 in India. In this current scenario, smartphone companies are competing hard to launch their new 5G smartphones in the market, and now not only flagship but also mid-range as well as budget segment 5G smartphones are also launched by several companies.

Among all the mid-range and budget 5G smartphones, we had the OPPO A53s 5G that was priced at Rs.14,990 and was the cheapest 5G smartphone in India. But now we got another champion, which is the Realme 8 5G and it is the recently introduced 4GB RAM and 64GB storage model which no costs exactly Rs.13,999. So, officially this version of Realme 8 5G is the cheapest 5G smartphone in India right now. The first sale will start on May 18.

The Realme 8 5G runs Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11 OS and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G chipset. Regarding the display, this phone offers a 6.5-inch FHD+ IPS LCD punch-hole panel supported by a faster refresh rate of 90Hz. This phone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The Dimensity 700 SoC of this phone is paired with 4GB/8GB of LPDDR4x RAM (with DRE tech) and 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage (expandable up to 1TB). Coming to the camera section, this phone offers a triple rear camera setup supported by an LED flash that includes a 48MP primary sensor along with a 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, this phone has a 16MP selfie shooter at the front.

The Realme 8 5G is fueled up by a 5,000mAH battery supported by 18W of fast charging. In terms of connectivity, this phone has support for 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm jack, and so on. This phone has a thickness of 8.5mm and it weighs around 185 grams.

This phone is available in two different color variants: Supersonic Black and Supersonic Blue. Coming to the pricing and availability, the Realme 8 5G carries a price tag of Rs. 14,999 for its 4GB/128GB option and Rs.16,999 for its 8GB/128GB option.
