Snapdragon 732G SoC is an upgrade over Snapdragon 730G SoC rumored to launch in September

Qualcomm has been launching more flagship, mid-range, and budget chipsets for all types of smartphones in different budget ranges. Whereas, MediaTek is also making a comeback with its 5G chipsets which are also budget oriented at the same time. MediaTek’s Dimensity series chipset is making a buzz in the smartphone world where many smartphones can be seen using Dimensity chipsets.

In the meanwhile, Qualcomm is said to be launching a new Snapdragon chipset dubbed as Snapdragon 732G. The information comes from @Boby25846908 on Twitter. As the name of the chipset suggests this might be an upgraded version of the Snapdragon 730G that is usually a mid-range chipset.

According to the tipster, the chipset utilizes two Kyro 430 Gold and six Kyro 470 Silver cores clocked at 2.3GHz and 1.8 GHz, respectively. It will be an 8nm chipset paired with an Adreno 618 GPU. The chipset will have better AI comparability. The tipster also claims that this chipset will also be a 4G only chipset and the exclusion of 5G will save some cost on the chipset and the phone as well.

The tipster also adds that the chipset will be launched somewhere around September and the phone with this chipset will be available for the very first time in Vietnam for a price under $300. According to Gizmochina, the Snapdragon 730G comes with a similar architecture, which is 2x Kryo 470 Gold (based on Cortex-A76) cores clocked at 2.2GHz and 6x Kryo 470 Silver (based on Cortex-A55) clocked at 1.8GHz and so the difference with this new chipset will be in the higher clocking speed of the large cores on the unannounced chipset.
