We still don’t know what will be the final name of the next budget centric smartphone of the OnePlus brand. But previously a famous tipster Max J. had hinted the name “NERD” in one of this tweet for the mid-range smartphone. Though OnePlus has still not opened up on this matter, however, another tweet from Max J. reveals that the upcoming budget smartphone from the company will feature a quad-camera setup.

Previous renders indicated triple-rear camera setup for the mid-ranger and the breakdown is done like this – 64 MP main (some sources claimed 48 MP), 16 MP ultrawide, and a 2 MP module (likely a depth sensor). But, if it has to add another camera as the fourth module it will definitely be a 2MP macro lens. For comparison, the OnePlus 8 series that has a triple-rear camera setup with lots of additional hardware needed for a flagship smartphone this upcoming “Nord” may not pack such hardware.

OnePlus Nord (Previously known OnePlus Z) would pack in Snapdragon 765G processor with 5G connectivity and will not be featuring the Snapdragon 865 chipset similar to the OnePlus 8 series. Moreover, it is also said to have a 6.4-inches FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and to power up the device, it will have a 4,000mAh battery.
