2010s K-Pop Never Left — These 6 New Tracks Prove It

Nostalgia has a sound, and right now that sound is EDM drops, thick autotune slides, and choruses built for a crowded dance floor. A wave of new K-pop releases is deliberately channeling that 2010s party energy — and whether it’s new to you or a blast from the past, these six tracks are impossible not to move to.

The 2010s Party Sound Is Back

What defines this throwback wave? Heavy autotune, EDM-pop collisions, and simple, chantable hooks built for group singalongs rather than complex vocal runs. It’s a sound BigBang — dubbed the “Kings of K-pop” — helped define over a decade ago, and its influence is now showing up across a new generation of releases.

The 6 Tracks, Elaborated

1. KiiiKiii – “Pop Off Pop Off” — A collision of EDM and understated, heavily auto-tuned vocals that practically demands a playlist spot. The retro-styled visuals in the music video lean fully into the throwback aesthetic, matching the track’s instant mood-lifting energy.

2. BIGBANG – “Biiig” — The genre’s original architects return with a surprisingly laid-back groove. The bass under the chorus does the heavy lifting, and the smooth, simple vocal lines are the kind that lodge themselves in your head after a single listen.

3. BABYMONSTER – “SUGAR HONEY ICE TEA” — Opens with a classic autotune slide straight out of the 2010s playbook. Deceptively simple through most of its runtime, it saves its biggest moment for a party remix finale that closes the track with real punch.

4. SEVENTEEN’s V8 – “singasong” — A genre-blending mix of 2010s party sound and old-school video game soundtrack energy. Vernon’s bouncy, bass-heavy rap plays against a lighter melody, keeping the track dynamic rather than repetitive — the kind of song that would’ve torn up a house party in 2012.

5. LE SSERAFIM – “CELEBRATION” — Balances a heavy EDM backing with light, airy vocals so the track never feels overwhelming. The chorus is unmistakably club-coded, built to appeal equally to longtime 2010s fans and newer listeners.

6. CORTIS – “REDRED” — A striking debut comeback that nails the peak 2010s party formula right out of the gate. Stylized, autotune-forward vocals pair with mesmerizing choreography, delivering something that feels both nostalgic and genuinely fresh.
