100 Days of Deception: Kim You Jung and Park Jinyoung Lead a Spy Romance Wrapped in Secrets

A pickpocket hiding in plain sight. A spy disguised as a loyal son. And a romance built entirely on lies. tvN’s upcoming drama “100 Days of Deception” has just released its first stills, and the tension is already electric.

The Premise: Deception at Every Turn

Set during the Japanese occupation of Korea, the drama unfolds over a tense 100-day window packed with espionage, hidden identities, and high political stakes. It’s directed by Yoo In Shik, the acclaimed filmmaker behind Extraordinary Attorney Woo and the Dr. Romantic series — a strong pedigree for a story this layered.

100 Days of Deception: Meet the Characters

A Dangerous Double Life

At the heart of the story is Lee Ga Gyeong, Gyeongseong’s most skilled pickpocket, who talks her way into the Japanese Government-General of Korea under the guise of an interpreter trainee. There, she crosses paths with Kim Tae Woong — publicly known as Sato Hideo — the newly appointed interpreter and adopted son of the organization’s second-highest official. Their connection quickly grows complicated, layered with suspicion, attraction, and conflicting loyalties.

The newly unveiled stills capture Lee Ga Gyeong’s sharp, watchful eyes scanning a heavily guarded train platform as Kim Tae Woong’s arrival draws attention from all sides — a visual that instantly sets the tone for the cat-and-mouse dynamic to come.

A Reunion Charged with Purpose

Elsewhere in the images, Yoo So Ran returns to her homeland for the first time in over a decade, carrying both quiet sorrow and a fierce resolve tied to dreams of independence and personal revenge. Her reunion with her steadfast companion Yoo Philip adds another emotional thread to the unfolding story, while Sato Shinichi’s commanding presence hints at the political power struggles simmering beneath the surface.
