10 Years Later, Still Glowing: The “Love in the Moonlight” Cast Reunites

Some shows fade with time. This one just got a golden anniversary glow-up. To mark a decade since “Love in the Moonlight” first captured hearts, its five leads reunited in hanbok for a nostalgic ELLE Korea shoot — and their reflections on the years since are just as heartfelt as the drama itself.

Back in Hanbok, a Decade Later

Park Bo Gum, Kim You Jung, Jin Young, Chae Soo Bin, and Kwak Dong Yeon came together for ELLE Korea’s September special covers, dressing once again in traditional hanbok inside a Korean hanok — the very setting that made the 2016 drama so visually beloved. Park Bo Gum noted how surreal it felt that everyone still looked just the same, and that even the weather echoed their original filming days, bringing back memories of the laughter that always filled their time together.

Love in the Moonlight: Overview

What the Cast Carries Forward

Each actor opened up about what the drama, and the past decade, left behind. Kim You Jung reflected on how playing the warm, spirited Hong Ra On shaped her own emotional growth, and shared advice her mother once gave her about not rushing toward the future. Jin Young spoke about wanting to hold onto his love for people and connection, thanking his co-stars for a decade of friendship that outlasted the project itself. Chae Soo Bin credited her character Jo Ha Yeon’s boldness as something she now draws courage from in her own life, while Kwak Dong Yeon, currently serving in the military, looked back with a mix of humor and honesty about the pressure he placed on himself as a young actor.

What stands out most is how naturally these reflections tie back to the show’s own themes — love, resilience, and the quiet strength found in being remembered fondly by others. A full decade later, the bond between the cast feels less like a promotional reunion and more like old friends simply catching up.

The complete pictorial and interviews will be available in ELLE Korea’s September special edition, alongside a behind-the-scenes clip from the shoot already circulating online.
