In order to improve the user experience, YouTube is implementing several modifications, and it hopes you’ll notice at least some of them. Incorporating the ambient theme into the light theme and adding new search options are just a few of the new features. Another is the ability to lock your screen on a video to avoid tapping out of it.
YouTube’s new features and its details
Sing to try to find the earworm you can’t place.
You can play, sing, or even hum a song you’re looking for if you can’t remember the name of it, and YouTube will use artificial intelligence (AI) to match the sound to the original music. In the next few weeks, this capability will first be limited to YouTube for Android users.
New formats for video descriptions.
In order to give producers more formatting options, YouTube is making video descriptions scrollable. Links to social networking platforms will now be formatted in a new way that makes them easier to identify and click, and for greater scannability, they even feature the platform’s logo.
To accelerate playback, press, and hold.
You can now press and hold to double the video’s playback speed. When necessary, this makes it easier for you to watch lengthy films quickly.
New-looking changes
YouTube has made it simpler than ever to find the precise point if you want to replay a certain section of your video. Not only are the preview thumbnails larger than before, but you can also interrupt the seek action by just releasing the bar while holding it down while trying to find a keyframe. This will take you back to the previous position where you were watching.
Updated ‘live’ animations
More visual features are also being added to it. If a presenter requests that viewers “like” or “subscribe” during a video, these buttons will animate in time with the host’s request. One of these two buttons will cause a minor explosion to emerge if viewers press it.
