YouTube experience on Android TV has been increasingly being made better with every update. And it’s not just Andriod Tvs’ but the Chromecast devices are also getting a new redefined experience with YouTube this year.  When compared to previous Chromecast devices, users have found that since the past four months the new Chromecast devices offer a much better and richer YouTube experience.

The first is that the new remote Android TV device brings a richer video player with it that allows users to change resolution, close captions, and add to queue/playlist. On the other hand, when the video ends, users are not taken to a generic splash screen that invites users to Cast. Instead, we know have a home screen just like on Android TV. The home screen will include a navigation rail on the left as well as a carousel of videos. It makes for a better lean-back browsing experience.

A few days backs we even got to see a new panel that tells users about “3 ways to watch.” There’s still “[using] your phone to pick a video,” however, it’s now joined by using “your TV remote to browse YouTube” and “Tap the Cast icon to get remote on your phone.”

With the last of the above-mentioned option, we have a new panel with options that adjust volume, start a voice search, and even open “remote.” we can control them with the D-Pad. This is simply a great improvement for those that like navigating large-screen experiences with a simple remote.

These new changes in YouTube have become more apparent and are available to users for the third generation of Chromecast devices. However, the features are still in the testing phase and many users have also been reporting various bugs.
