Youri Tielemans to leave Leicester City at the end of 2022/23 upon contract expiry

Youri Tielemans is still set to leave Leicester City this summer. The midfielder has not agreed to a new contract, and will be exiting when his deal runs out at the end of June.

He was strongly linked with Arsenal, but hasn’t agreed to sign for them yet. As things stand, there are multiple offers on the table for him, but he hasn’t committed to any club. This is because he wants to focus on the last few games of the season before deciding his future.

The Belgian has seen his stock drop over the past year, as has been the case for almost every Leicester player. The Foxes are currently struggling in the relegation zone, and are second last in the table.

The 26-year-old has played 29 Premier League games this season, scoring three goals and providing a solitary assist. He scored the match-winning goal in their FA Cup final win against Chelsea a few years ago.

Youri Tielemans has been with Leicester City since 2019, making the move from Monaco. Over the years, he has established himself into a reputed midfielder, attracting interest from several top clubs. But, with his stock dropping over this past season, the offers for him could vary significantly.

It will be interesting to see which club ends up signing him when the transfer window opens, since he has shown his quality on multiple occasions, and could use a change of scenery to revive his career.
