In this article, we take a look at the top ten youngest goalscorers in the Premier League.

Top 10 youngest goalscorers in the Premier League

10. Mikael Forssell (Chelsea)

Forssell remains Chelsea’s youngest Premier League goalscorer at 17 years, 11 months and 5 days old. The record still stands to this day, despite Chelsea’s rich history over the years. He scored the goal on his debut from the bench, coming on against Nottingham Forest, and starts off the list of the youngest goalscorers in the Premier League.

9. Raheem Sterling (Liverpool)

Sterling is one of the most successful wingers in the Premier League and scored his first goal in the domestic league at 17 years, 10 months and 12 days. He is the second-youngest goalscorer in Liverpool’s history behind Michael Owen.

8. Daniel Jebbison (Sheffield United)

Daniel Jebbison was only seven minutes into his Premier League debut when he became the club’s youngest ever goalscorer, at 17 years, 10 months and 5 days. Jebbison achieved the feat in 2021, against Everton, and is the league’s youngest player to score on their first full start.

7. Federico Macheda (Manchester United)

Macheda came off the bench to score the winner for Manchester United against Aston Villa. He was 17 years, 07 months and 14 days when he scored the goal against the Midlands club.

6. Andy Turner (Tottenham Hotspur)

Turner scored his first goal for the North London club at the age of 17 years, 05 months and 13 days. He did so in the first season of the formation of the Premier League in its current form.

5. Michael Owen (Liverpool)

One of Premier League’s greatest ever strikers scored after coming off the bench against Wimbledon. Although they lost 2-1, Michael Owen scored the consolation goal to kick start his career, at the age of 17 years, 4 months and 23 days.

4. Cesc Fabregas (Arsenal)

Cesc Fabregas is one of the best midfielders to play in the Premier League, having represented Arsenal and Chelsea in England. The midfielder scored his first goal for the Gunners at the age of 17 years, 3 months and 21 days, making him the youngest ever goalscorer for the London club.

3. Wayne Rooney (Everton)

Wayne Rooney is one of the youngest goalscorers in the Premier League and is a legend of the league as well. He kicks off the top three in the league and netted his first goal for the Toffees at the age of 16 years, 11 months and 26 days.

2. James Milner (Leeds United)

James Milner is the other one of the youngest goalscorers in the Premier League that is still active. At the time, he was playing for Leeds United at the time, and scored his first goal at the age of 16 years, 11 months and 22 days.

1. James Vaughan (Everton)

James Vaughan tops the list of the youngest goalscorers in the Premier League, having netted against Crystal Palace at the age of 16 years, 08 months and 27 days. He replaced James Milner and Wayne Rooney as the youngest in 2005.
