Yeri’s New K-Drama “Azure Spring” Is the Healing Romance We All Need Right Now

Red Velvet’s Yeri steps into a brand-new role — and this time, she’s diving deep into both the ocean and her own dreams.

If you’ve been searching for your next feel-good Korean drama fix, look no further. Azure Spring — MBN’s upcoming six-episode K-drama — is already generating major buzz with its heartfelt teaser and a storyline that honestly hits differently. Think second chances, the healing power of nature, and two broken people finding each other by the sea.

Azure Spring Drama Overview

What Is Azure Spring About?

Seo Anna (played by Yeri/Kim Ye Rim) was once a promising national-team swimmer — until an unexpected injury shattered everything she worked for. Now she’s stuck, afraid of the future, and struggling to trust herself again.

Enter Yoon Deok Hyun (Kang Sang Jun) — a mysterious young haenam (male diver) whose age, profession, and past are all wrapped in secrecy. When he saves Anna by chance, their lives become intertwined. As Anna steps into the unfamiliar world of the sea — living as a haenyeo (female diver), a centuries-old Korean tradition — she slowly rediscovers her courage and purpose.

It’s a story about getting unstuck. About finding dreams again when you thought they were gone for good. Honestly? That’s something we could all use right now.

Why Fans Are Already Excited

The newly released teaser opens with a poignant line: “Just as my dreams had come to a standstill, a man appeared before me.” It’s quiet, cinematic, and deeply emotional — setting the tone for what promises to be a beautifully layered drama. Yeri proves she has serious acting range here, and Kang Sang Jun’s brooding, mysterious energy makes for a compelling dynamic between the two leads.
