Xiaomi is preparing for a significant product launch scheduled for August in China. Lu Weibing, the President of Xiaomi, recently verified that the Mi Mix Fold 3 will make its debut in China in August. The company has also released a teaser that confirms the August launch and the collaboration with Leica for their upcoming foldable smartphone.
Xiaomi held an event in conjunction with MediaTek and Pixelworks to announce the launch of the Redmi K60 Ultra smartphone. The company has affirmed that this forthcoming smartphone will hit the market in August. On their Weibo page, Xiaomi has shared another teaser disclosing the launch date for the upcoming Mix Fold 3.
The Upcoming Smartphones from Xiaomi
According to the teaser posted on Xiaomi’s Weibo account, the Mi Mix Fold 3 is set to be launched in China on August 14. A reliable source has confirmed that the company plans to introduce this foldable smartphone alongside the K60 Ultra and Xiaomi Pad 6 Max. The upcoming Mix Fold 3 is anticipated to rival the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Honor Magic V Fold. Leica has also announced that the upcoming Mix Fold 3 will incorporate a Leica optical full-focus quad camera setup.
The forthcoming foldable device will feature sleek and multiple solid lenses. In addition to the primary sensor, the Mix Fold 3 is projected to include an ultra-wide-angle and periscope lens. The smartphone was recently spotted undergoing 3C certification, revealing its rapid charging capabilities. This certification indicates that the foldable smartphone will support 67W fast charging technology. The smartphone is expected to come with a 4800 mAh battery and will also support 50W wireless charging.
The event organized by Xiaomi in partnership with MediaTek and Pixelworks has unveiled the key specifications of the upcoming Redmi K60 Ultra smartphone. Xiaomi has confirmed that the smartphone will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC, built on a 4nm process and capable of reaching a peak clock speed of 3.35GHz. The company boasts that the smartphone achieved the highest score on the AnTuTu benchmark, with a score of over 1,774,714 points.
The company will also integrate a dedicated X7 chipset into the smartphone, along with Furious Engine 2.0 for an enhanced gaming and imaging experience. The smartphone will feature an OLED display with a resolution of 1.5K and a refresh rate of 144Hz. Xiaomi’s President revealed that the company has established a new factory in China, and the Mi Mix Fold 3 will be the inaugural smartphone to roll off the production line at this new facility.
