Xiaomi is all set to unveil its brand new OLED TV solution featuring the NVIDIA G-SYNC technology at its launch event tomorrow. The company has posted teasers of the TV over on its official Weibo handle.
The Xiaomi Mi OLED TVs will offer a major upgrade over the existing OLED panels that launched a year ago, they will arrive in varying shapes and sizes, the Mi OLED TVs will have the NVIDIA G-SYNC technology integrated into them.
This means that they will be certified as NVIDIA BFGD(Big Format Gaming) products. Xiaomi is marketing the Mi OLED TVs as a professional gaming monitor that will surpass the design and quality of standard TVs.
Xiaomi has kept a lot of details under the wraps when it comes to its Mi OLED TVs. We are curious as to what would be the refresh rate that the TV would offer, its high dynamic-range certification is also unknown and so is its resolution.
We have to make it clear that the Xiaomi Mi OLED TV lineup may not actually feature the NVIDIA G-SYNC modules but may just be certified as G-SYNC compatible displays, if this is indeed the case would imply that these are Freesync monitors. It is unlikely that this is actually the case as Xiaomi would have mentioned so on the marketing teasers.
Being NVIDIA BFG displays, they should have a 75+Hz refresh rate which is a part of the TV certification, apart from this, we can expect to see HDR, a wide-color Gamut(DCI-P3), ULMB for ultra-fast response times, and most likely, HDMI 2.1(ALLM,eARC, VRR) standard, considering that it is an essential feature for next-gen consoles and gaming setups to completely take advantage of the modern hardware.
The good news is we do not have to wait long to get the detailed specs as the launch event is tomorrow, so stay tuned as we will keep you updated on the complete specs of the Mi OLED TVs as and when they drop!
