This week in tech: Xiaomi’s massive launch, Samsung’s Galaxy Unfold, and more

This week is going to be an amazing week when it comes to tech releases, we have massive launches scheduled from Xiaomi as it is set to unveil the Mi MIX 4, Mi Pad 5, and more devices, this will be followed by Samsung that will hold its Galaxy Unpacked event in which it will reveal the Galaxy Fold devices and its smartwatches. Honor and Realme will follow up and close out the week on a high with their V7 device and the Realme GT respectively.

Let’s get a detailed look at all the specs and news regarding this week’s schedule:

Mi MIX 4 and Mi Pad 5 & more-10th August

Xiaomi has announced that it will hold an online launch event on Tuesday, August 10th where it will be unveiling the Mi MIX 4 Flagship device and the Mi Pad 5, two devices that have a lot of hype surrounding them due to the features that are expected to come with them. Xiaomi has resumed these devices after a three-year hiatus so there is indeed a lot riding on them. Xiaomi is also expected to release a new smart speaker and a new OLED TV.

Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked- August 11th

Samsung’s annual Galaxy Unpacked has to be the most important event of the week, the Korean giant will reveal two of its foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold3 and the Galaxy Z Flip3, two devices we have been witnessing renders and rumors about all year long. These devices will release in a better and upgraded version in comparison to their predecessors and carry stylus support as well. We will also get to see their Watch 4 be unveiled along with other products that have been kept under the wraps for now.

Samsung Galaxy Unpacked Event confirmed on 11th August

Honor Magic3 series and Honor V7 Pro-August 12th

Honor will be launching a bunch of new products on Thursday, the 12th of August. The highlight of the launch will be the Magic3 series that will include the Magic3 and the Magic3 Pro. Honor will also unveil the Honor V7 Pro, a flagship tablet that will be powered by MediaTek’s new Kompanio 1300T chipset. It will also unveil the Honor X20 5G.

iQOO 8 Series-August 17th

The iQOO 8 Series has been hyped in the past couple of months, the lineup will be powered by the Snapdragon 888 Plus chipset, will support 120W fast charging support, and also support 50W wireless charging. The series has some powerful devices and is definitely one we are expecting to take over the market.

Realme GT Series-August 18th

The Realme GT Series will launch with a Snapdragon 888 chipset alongside the Realme Book, a budget laptop, and Realme’s first laptop. The GT Series is highly acclaimed and the Master Edition of the device has also been widely anticipated.

From what we know about these devices, both of them appear to deliver on nearly everything so we are excited to see all the specs regarding these devices out in the open.
