Xiaomi Pad 7 Set to Launch in India on January 10, 2025

The Xiaomi Pad 7, which was unveiled alongside the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro in China in October, has now been confirmed for an India launch. The base model’s Indian variant was previously spotted on the Geekbench and Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) websites.

Now the India launch of this tablet is tipped by official confirmation from Xiaomi via a live microsite on an e-commerce platform, which says that the Xiaomi tablet will launch in India on January 10, 2025. The Indian variant is likely to offer specifications similar to its Chinese counterpart and will replace the Xiaomi Pad 6, which was launched in India in June 2023.

The live microsite on Amazon further confirms the tablet’s availability through the platform and details of the Indian variant will likely be unveiled just before the launch. The Xiaomi Pad 7 has a massive 11.2-inch 3.2K LCD screen with a resolution of 2,136×3,200 pixels, a 144Hz refresh rate, 800 nits peak brightness, and Dolby Vision.

At its core, we have a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC combined with Android 15-based HyperOS 2.0 for a smooth user experience. For photography, there is a 13-megapixel rear camera at the back of the tablet, while an 8-megapixel camera sits on the front for video calls and selfies. The Xiaomi Pad 7 has an 8,850mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging.

It also includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for biometric security. In China, the price of the Xiaomi Pad 7 starts at CNY 1,999 (approximately ₹23,500) for the 8GB + 128GB variant. The 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB models are priced at CNY 2,299 (roughly ₹27,700) and CNY 2,599 (roughly ₹30,600), respectively. The tablet is available in black, blue, and green color options.
