The next-generation foldables from Xiaomi, Samsung, and Honor are poised to launch soon. One of those is the Xiaomi Mix Flip, which as its name suggests, comes with a foldable clamshell-like form facture like the Galaxy Z Flip series. IMDA listing refers to a Xiaomi Mix Flip with model number 2405CPX3DG as well as support for 5G, Bluetooth, WiFi, and NFC It was listed on the IMEI database along with the Xiaomi 14T and Xiaomi 14T Pro cases where no other info was attached. Both of these flip phones most likely carry the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, just like the Xiaomi 14 series. The handset has also received certification from China 3C, which suggests it will support 67W charging.
Similarly, the Mix Flip is also said to come with two-way satellite connectivity to send SOS signals for emergency situations, according to DigitalChatStation. A prior leak showcased the back design of the phone, offering a pair of camera sensors, two LED flashes, and Leica-branded cameras. On the upper part of the rear panel, a screen is placed and in the lower portion, there is well finished gold color and of course Xiaomi branding. The foldable is said to feature a 50MP primary sensor with OIS an Omnivision OV60A sensor with 2x optical zoom and a 32MP selfie camera.
Another foldable – the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4, a follow-up to the Fold 3, is also said to be in development alongside the Mix Flip. Honor is similarly developing a foldable named the Honor Magic V3. DigitalChatStation has shared hardware details for both the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 and Honor Magic V3, indicating they will both feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and 5,000mAh batteries. This marks a slight increase from the 4800mAh battery in the Mix Fold 3. Currently, the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro has the largest foldable battery at 5,700mAh.
The tipster also mentioned that both foldables will have side-mounted fingerprint sensors, like their predecessors. The Mix Fold 4 is anticipated to be the slimmest foldable phone yet and will feature a 50MP quad-camera setup with a 5x periscope lens, though the camera protrusion will be quite significant. In contrast, the Honor Magic V3 is expected to have a minimal camera bulge. The Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 is also rumored to have a stronger hinge and possibly satellite connectivity.
